Venture Summit West: LongeVC's Artem Trotsyuk on What Moves a Deal Forward
LongeVC operating partner Artem Trotsyuk joined the investor panel "Securing the Check: Tactical Insights from the Frontlines" at Venture Summit West in Silicon Valley, the two-day summit hosted by youngStartup Ventures at the Computer History Museum. The session focused on how investors actually reach a decision: the signals that move a deal forward, and the missteps that stall even promising startups.
The panel was moderated by Jacob Comer (Seward & Kissel LLP) and brought together Kyle Howard-Johnson (Volition Capital), Shail Kaveti (TheFounderVC), Mika Nishimura (Gilde Healthcare), Kunal Phalak (WestBridge Capital), Arzu Tekir (Treeo VC), and Koyo Tsuchiya (MS&AD Ventures). The discussion centered on a problem many early-stage companies run into: closing the distance between strong science and a signed term sheet, which in 2026 takes real proof of traction and a credible path to profitability.
Alongside the panel, Artem also served as a judge on the summit's Medtech Track, evaluating startups presenting in the sector.
